If you’ve cancelled your CST Advantage Plan and have received your principal directly into your bank account, then unfortunately, as per government regulations, we cannot reactivate your plan. However, if you received your principal via a cheque and you haven’t as yet cashed that cheque, we can reinstate your plan up until any point that your child is ready to go to post-secondary school. You will need to make up all the missed contributions as well as what those contributions would have earned if they were made on time. Please note that you have until the plan’s maturity date (generally when your child turns 18) to reinstate your plan to a maximum contribution of $50,000.
