Sometimes families leave CST Advantage Plan. Under the conditions of the plan, these customers are given back their principal but must leave behind any income earned on this principal. This income left behind is then divided among the beneficiaries who remain in CST Advantage Plan. The income is then paid out when these beneficiaries are ready to receive their Education Assistance Payments (EAPs). When you stay in CST Advantage Plan until your child turns 18 (the maturity date) and attends post-secondary education, attrition provides you with an increased return on your plan.
